Sunday (July 13) we gathered together for the 52nd time - that is, we've been a plant now for one year.  We prayed prayers of thanksgiving Sunday evening, noting how God has been with us this past year.

1) He's given us spiritual growth - many have expressed this.  We're in the midst of membership classes and look forward to a few more in the next six months.  Also, many families have spent so much time, energy, and finances for the good of this church plant.

2) He's given us officers: we have a trained elder and deacon at this point.  God willing, they will be ordained in October after Classis.  Again, if God wills, we will be an organized congregation in October.

3) He's given us a building.  As we noted earlier, we own this church building debt-free.  We're extremely thankful that God has done this for us.

4) He's given us people who visit regularly and those who "check us out" from time to time.  Though numerical growth is not on the top of our "success" list, we are thankful when the Lord leads people to hear the gospel from this pulpit.

Please take time to thank the Triune God that he's brought us here.  It hasn't been easy, and no doubt it won't get much easier, but we pray his name is lifted up here in praise by his saints.  Also, keep on telling people about us!
